CENTRAL LUZON HEALTH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM (CLHRDC)

The consortium was organized by the Department of Science and Technology in March 2008. The members are selected government agencies and academe.The consortium has four  (4) committees namely:

• Research Management
• Research Utilization, Information and Communication
• Ethics
• Capability Building

POPCOM is one of the members on the  Committee on Research Utilization, Information and Communication.

VISION:

CLHRDC shall be empowered by research based health knowledge, technologies and innovations

MISSION:

To develop and enhance the capacity  of institutions in Central Luzon in Health Research and Development as a strategy and basis for evidenced. Based policy to improve the health conditions of its people.

OBJECTIVES:

• Advocate and support the development and attainment of science-based research culture
• Provide leadership and recommend direction in health research and development activities.
• Mobilize and complement health research resources to generate health knowledge, technologies and innovations.
• Strengthen the system of collaboration in Central Luzon.
