Policy Formulation and Program Development
- Assist other agencies in integrating population and development and
responsible parenthood concerns in their respective development policies plans and program
- Strive to be a visible and influential presence in formal policy-making fora.
- Develop programs that will contribute to better quality of life to Filipinos through
better reproductive health.
Advocacy and Communication
- Lead the call for GOs, NGOs private sector, civic organizations and people's
organizations to assist parents achieve their desired number and spacing of children.
- Advocate the ceation of the needed local structure to oversee population and
development plans and programs.
- Mobilize the media and establish closer links with them for greater mileage of the program.
Data and Information Management
- Take the led in developing a database to monitor and evaluate the implementation of
the PPMP, including the operationalizations of the ICPD Program of Action.
- Serve as clearing house and information resource center on population and family planning.
- Support the conduct of future national demographic and health surveys and population
censuses and other population-related surveys.
Generation, Programming and Mobilization of Resources for Population
- Prepare a "Population Investment Program Plan" to guide actions on the
genetation, programming, mobilization, mathcing and tracking of resources for population activities.
- Lobby for funding support from various offices.
- Monitor population accounts/expenditure
